Colleagues sharing restaurant food together in a London office

Ordit is a London-based corporate-only food platform for HR, office management, facilities and finance teams. It combines on-demand individual meal ordering, recurring Group Ordering and Office Catering on one platform, delivered by its own fleet across 15 Central London postcode areas from 300+ FSA 4/5-rated restaurant partners, settled on one monthly invoice, with no lock-in and no setup fees, and trusted by 500+ London companies.

The story

Built for London, for how offices actually eat

Peter Szendrenyi founded Ordit in 2014 to fix a problem that kept showing up: office food split across a delivery app, a caterer and a spreadsheet, with finance chasing receipts behind all three. So we built one platform for every order type, put our own riders on shift instead of relying on a consumer delivery app, and put the controls where the spend happens, at checkout. Today Ordit delivers more than 2,000 corporate meals a day across Central London.

Built for companies

What Ordit does

One platform, three ways to order

Most companies feed people in more than one way, and end up with a different supplier for each. Ordit puts all three order types on the same account, the same restaurant list and the same monthly invoice, so a second use case never means a second procurement exercise.

The three order types:

  • Individual on-demand ordering — employees order their own meal within the budget and the hours you set, and the rules are enforced at checkout rather than reconciled afterwards.
  • Group Ordering — one order, one delivery window, everyone picks their own dish, and every meal arrives together, labelled by name.
  • Office Catering — platters and hot food for meetings, client lunches and events, booked ahead from the same 300+ restaurant partners.

The delivery fleet

Our own riders, on shift for corporate orders

Ordit's own dedicated riders on e-bikes, electric cargo bikes and pushbikes, with motorbikes and vans for the larger runs and vetted courier partners at peak. Every order goes to Ordit's own fleet first, which is why deliveries arrive in 30 minutes, why group orders land together, and why our bike deliveries emit 89% less CO2 than diesel vans.

For the people who sign it off

Built to clear procurement, finance and IT

The same teams review Ordit every time — HR, office management, facilities, finance and IT. The platform is built to answer their questions in the first meeting rather than the fourth.

What the review usually covers:

  • Billing: one monthly invoice covering every order type, with no card on file and no invoice per order.
  • Expenses and procurement: SAP Concur, Coupa and Workday integrations, so spend lands in the systems finance already runs.
  • Access: single sign-on with Okta or Azure AD via SAML 2.0, so joiners and leavers follow your directory instead of a separate user list.
  • Food safety: every restaurant partner is FSA hygiene-rated 4 or 5 before it goes live, and stays on the platform only while it holds that rating.
  • Delivery accountability: every order goes to the Ordit fleet first, with vetted courier partners covering overflow at peak.
