Ordit vs. Deliveroo for Work — which is better?

Deliveroo for Work has a shared basket that up to 100 people can add to, but each person's food is delivered separately to the same address. Ordit also carries individual meals, group orders and catering on one platform, with SSO, HR data feeds and expense integrations behind them.

For a single meal, no. Both deliver ASAP orders in around 30 minutes. The difference shows up when a whole team eats at once: Ordit runs high-capacity electric cargo bikes and vans, so a group order or a catering drop arrives in one delivery rather than as a stream of separate ones.

Ordit charges a 5% + VAT service fee on your monthly spend, applied once on the invoice. There is no setup fee, no subscription and no minimum spend, and a month with no orders produces no invoice. Deliveroo for Work states that it charges an admin fee based on monthly spending but does not publish the rate, so ask both providers for a written quote and compare like for like.

Ordit. SAML 2.0 single sign-on works with Okta and Azure AD, daily SFTP feeds from Workday or another HR system register new joiners and deactivate leavers automatically, and expense codes captured at checkout can flow to SAP Concur, Coupa or a P2P system. Ordit configures these, typically in one to two weeks including testing, and none of them are required to run the service. Deliveroo for Work does not publish any equivalent integrations.

Fewer listings, not less choice. Deliveroo lists thousands of restaurants across the UK because it is a consumer marketplace and any registered takeaway can appear. Ordit has 300+ partners across London, every one of them required to hold an FSA hygiene rating of 4 or 5, and the line-up covers the names an office actually orders: Farmer J, Poke House, Joe & The Juice, itsu, Emilia's Crafted Pasta, Coco di Mama, Sticks'n'Sushi, Zizzi, Pizza Pilgrims and Ottolenghi among them. What matters in practice is how many of those deliver to your office, and in Central London, the City and Canary Wharf the answer is a lot.

It depends what the programme has to do. If all you need is individual meal allowances on an app your team already has, Deliveroo for Work does that job. Ordit is the alternative worth comparing when the programme has to do more: everyone picks their own meal and the team order arrives in one batch, individual meals and group orders and catering run on one platform and one monthly invoice, and SSO, HR data feeds and expense integrations sit behind them. Deliveroo for Work does not publish any equivalent integrations, so ask both providers what they support in writing.
